underdog developer
where chaos meets code!
About DLC…
I’m Jonathan Harris—a ServiceNow Architect, developer, and unapologetic host of the Dev Life Crisis podcast. After years of building web applications and navigating the chaos of tech, I decided it was time to pull back the curtain and get real about what life as a developer is actually like.
This isn’t another polished, corporate bio. I’ve been through the late nights, broken code, and burned-out sprints—and I created DLC as a space to talk openly about the challenges we all face. It’s where devs can find honest conversations, a bit of humor, and practical advice to survive (and thrive) in this industry.
Whether I’m writing code, mentoring teams, or behind the mic, one thing stays the same: no fluff, no BS—just real talk.

What we do…
At Dev Life Crisis, we shine a light on the real, unfiltered developer experience. It’s not just about clean code and shiny deployments—it’s about the sleepless nights, impossible deadlines, career pivots, and figuring out how to balance it all without burning out.
Through honest conversations, expert insights, and a fair share of laughs, we dive deep into the highs and lows of life in tech. Whether you’re a junior dev finding your footing, a senior architect navigating leadership, or somewhere in between—we’ve got stories, lessons, and straight-up truths you won’t hear anywhere else.
We don’t pretend everything’s perfect. We embrace the crisis and find the lessons in the chaos.

Last but not least…
At Dev Life Crisis, we know this industry isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s fast, relentless, and sometimes downright brutal. But no matter how chaotic it gets, you’re not in it alone. Our goal is simple: build a community where developers can vent, learn, laugh, and get back up stronger.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about writing better code—it’s about writing a better story for yourself.
